Cutting-edge technology and redesigned packaging are the latest enhancements to the 1 oz gold wafer
Always at the forefront of technology, the Royal Canadian Mint is enhancing its prestigious one-ounce gold wafer with several innovative features for 2016.
Investors can expect the same unrivaled quality and craftsmanship as in years past—a testament to the Mint’s world-renowned minting and refining capabilities. Also untouched are the wafer’s dimensions and its market-leading purity, which has made it a trusted investment piece since its debut in 1999.
The new enhancements for 2016 include a uniform line pattern that melds contemporary design with superior security features, on both the obverse and the reverse. Another outstanding addition is the state-of-the-art, laser-engraved security mark; a unifying element among the Mint’s bullion offerings (including the iconic Gold Maple Leaf and Silver Maple Leaf coins), the micro-engraved year “16” inside a maple leaf offers an inventive way of denoting the wafer’s year of issue while protecting your investment.
Each wafer comes hermetically sealed in sleek, tamper-proof packaging that has been redesigned to mimic the wafer’s unique line pattern. The card includes the assay certificate printed on the back, along with the signature of the Mint’s Chief Assayer, which attest to the authenticity and purity of your investment.

Silver Unboxing from SilverGoldBull.ca [360°VR]

I started stacking silver about 2 years ago as a way to save for retirement — cash I spend, silver I will hold. My goal is 100oz of silver a year and it will just sit there gaining dust for at least 20 years. I am not one of those believers that silver will become insanely more valuable than it currently is, I just see it as better than piling up stacks of cash that will just sit there…and get spent.

I have not paid a fiat dollar for the silver that I have so far. I have been into bitcoin for a few years now and SilverGoldBull is a Canadian silver distributor that happens to accept bitcoin. The fun of mining bitcoin has led to the fun of stacking silver bars. For some reason in my head I have been sticking to Royal Canadian Mint bars, possibly because it is Canadian and because it is .9999 fine silver instead of just .999 that the other mints across the world off. There is a couple dollars premium for these 10oz bars over something like the Sunshine Mint bars, but keeping things Canadian and consistent is worth $0.25 an ounce in my mind.

This video is this year’s haul so far because bitcoin jumped from $800us a few months ago to $1700us in the last couple weeks (and now over $2000us as I type this…DAMN!) and it is always time to buy when the bitcoins are high!

The 2014 Superman Series pairs Historic comic book covers with Silver coins. The set is sold out at the Canadian Mint, but can be found at Silvertowne. Probably soon to be in high demand. I really like this concept. Unboxing to come!

2009 Royal Canadian Mint 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games 1 Ounce Silver Coin Review

2009 Royal Canadian Mint 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games 1 Ounce Silver Coin Review

IrixGuy’s Coin Reviews – https://goo.gl/doQrAu

This is the 2009 release of Canada’s Royal Canadian Mint Maple Leaf bullion coin series commemorating the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games. It contains one ounce of .9999 fine silver. This is one of the most pure bullion coins available. Most other coins are just .999 fine silver and that’s why I like the Royal Canadian Mint! These coins are great for coin collectors and bullion stackers too. I recommend APMEX.com as a dealer for these. I filmed this video using a Panasonic Lumix TS3 and yes, I am wearing cotton gloves because I lake to take great care of my bullion!
