Perth makes the finest coins in the business I think. I’m glad to own some. I just wish they would take queen off the front.

Very nice. Perth Mint coins are awesome. Good start !

  7. Metalkookaburra says:

Generally the Perth mint coins are fetching a nice premium a little further down the road as they don’t tend to sell as many. Good buys you’ve made.

  8. EpicRV says:

Can’t beat the perth mint stuff — to me that is the best looking stuff out there.

Very entertaining to communicate with someone that has a great overview, thanks for taking the time to reply.

Thanks. I am uploading the video right now. should be a little bit. after looking at them more closely with a jewlers loop I found about half had some minor scuff marks and some were in pristine condition. I think 2 things effect them. 1. the way they are shipped to the customer and 2. the mint plastic they come in. I guess i got lucky somewhat in that they were not all scuffed up. I dont think however this would make me not want to buy them in the future. really nice coins and I got a good deal

Nice buys, the Youtubers are killing it to start the year, I love it! Im looking forward to your Britannia review, Ive seen so many with scratches that I have completely stayed away.

I also think time is starting to run out because the bond bubble will eventually burst and the fed cannot ease anymore and interest rates on our debt will start to skyrocket. people already on a limb will not be able to deal with variable rates on mortgage payments and the false recovery in the housing market will take another large step down. So I am trying to get as much as I can before this all happens. just my opinion. I might be wrong.

  14. lagoveride says:

Thanks! so far I have only bought 37oz. of silver and about 8grams of gold thus far this year, but I have plenty more on the way already. I saw that news article about the massive sales at the us mint, but I do think the paper pushers on wallstreet are going to dip things down again soon. The market is so bullish right now everyone and their mother is jumping in. thats when the smart money has already exited and the dumb money gets slaughtered. I hope there is a nice dip so I can get more soon.

I am about to post a response video to this very question. stay tuned.

Very good start to the year, the more bought the less silver on the market. These prices aren’t going to be around much longer. I guess you saw the eagles were on hold as well as the maples because of their inability to acquire enough silver to keep mint operating. That to will pass but its all a good sign. Now if it would only have some beraing in the paper world. thanks Rocky

I love Perth Mint silver! Nice score!

  18. lagoveride says:

So to answer your question. yes the current coins like the ones I bought are .999 pure. I also here that there will be 2 different styles of the coins released this year. Thinking about it more objectively I think its nice to get in on the ground floor of a new era in the britannia series.

  19. lagoveride says:

Beginning in November, collectors and investors will be able to buy 2013 Britannia 1-ounce .999 fine silver bullion coins (which are denominated £2) and Britannia 1-ounce .9999 fine gold bullion coins (which are denominated £100). The reverses of the coins will bear the traditional Philip Nathan design of a standing figure of a graceful Britannia, wind blowing her robes left while she holds a trident. Britannia wears a Corinthian helmet and bears also a shield.

  20. lagoveride says:

The Britannia standard of silver was introduced as part of the recoinage of William III in 1696, in an attempt to limit the clipping and melting of sterling silver coins (sterling is .925 fine).

  21. lagoveride says:

This signals a departure from the historic “Britannia” silver standard of .958 fine, as well as the standard .9167 fine gold in use for British coins for centuries.

  22. lagoveride says:

The old ones we a bit larger in size because they were 95% pure, but the new ones this year are 100% pure. this is what I found.

Silver and gold Britannia coins are no longer “fine” they way they are, the Royal Mint has decided. In an effort to compete with other, finer, world bullion coins, Royal Mint officials recently confirmed plans to launch Britannia .999 fine silver and .9999 fine gold coins later this year.

  23. GSilvermani says:

First:) hey lag sorry correct me if I’m wrong are the Britannia sterling or pure? thanks for the video, I hit the thumb:)
