i just got some of those rounds from “GSM” not directly though, from another online retailler,They all weigh spot on 31.1 except for a few that weight 31.0,,they do not ring like the silver eagles of the libertads

i took it to a place that buys gold and silver and they filed it on the side and did the acid test , it came out good, they also weight it and it was 1 oz but we couldn’t find the measurements of the round.
I have another 1 ounce Buffalo round from a different company and it sounds just like the one ounce silver eagle .
they are telling me that it is real but my guts tells me that there’s something fishy.
through what company did you buy those coin ?
if you do any other test on those ,let m kn

Ive got a few of the Golden State Mint Buffalo rounds and they did sound dull to me too.. I have the Bullion Tester android app and it says that they are fake. How did you test your coin to find out it is 100% silver?

  4. Irishsilverstack says:

Hey i just did it there, they do sound similar. they all have that bell, high pitch with long sustain. Did you weigh yours.

I also have different Buffalo round , do me a favor ,can you please do the test sounds ( clinging two coins against each other), because when I did that on mine , one design ( maker was Golden State mint) had a totally different sound then the rest of the Buffalo rounds, it had like a doll sounds instead of a bell sounds , when I tested that round it came out to be 100% silver .
Does your sound all the same?

Many different private mints in the U.S. make buffalo rounds, all with slight variations. it is a common design because of the popularity of the earl fraiser indian head nickel. examples of mints who make buffalo rounds include silvertowne, NTR metals, quality silver bullion, highland mint, goldenstate mint, etc.

i dont like these i find them very ugly.

mine looks different still. got them from apmex so they are legit for sure. 999 fine silver is positioned differently on the coin.

    Thanks for the info

NTR also has silver buffalo rounds with no mint mark.

Your plain coins you show first, just look at though they did not get finished! Factory error by the look of it. They should all have the rough edges, not smooth I think. Call them and ask!

    QSB “Quality Silver Bullion” company

Scottsdale Silver also has buffalo rounds available. They have the year stamped on them but they don’t have the Scottsdale name on it.
I’ve been thinking about grabbing a couple from them. I’ve picked up a few of their “Omnia” rounds & one ounce bars which I think are nice designs.

I think the one with beads are the first one made.

It’s very hard tell the year and mint. This issue is why I only buy rounds, coins, or bars with a mint mark. Unmarked coins a rated as “generic” for resale, possibly lessening the amount you can get when the SHTF.

Nice variety. I didn’t realize that there were so many different designs, mine are different than yours. I got mine from APMEX also, I think mine were made by ” The Highland Mint”.
    Good video!
